Marcy Reyes is a leader in the finance, academic and health communities. Marcy received her undergraduate degree in Finance from Rhode Island College in 2012, and later went on to receive her Masters in Finance from Northeastern University in 2014'. Marcy serves as adjunct professor at RIC, teaching finance to students who come from diverse backgrounds. Marcy also holds a management title in the Finance Division at BCBSRI. From her time in finance and academics, Marcy discovered a blatant disparity in how financial literacy resources are allocated. In response, Marcy founded The FLY Initiative to bring much-needed financial literacy programming to underserved and underrepresented youth.
Director of Educational Programming
Amanda Monaghan was born and raised in Rhode Island. As a two-time alumnus from Rhode Island College, she has earned her Masters of Social Work with a Certificate of Graduate Study in Nonprofit Leadership and Bachelors of Social Work. Amanda has worked with high school students at the Met School in Providence and college students at RIC. As an advocate for accessible financial literacy resources for students, she worked as part of the team that organized RIC’s first Financial Wellness Week. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys reading, especially outside on sunny days with her two dogs, and bike riding.

Diego Rodriguez, CPA is the Principal of Lurod Tax a small business consulting company established in 2015 in Providence, RI. The mission of Lurod Tax is to help clients optimize decision-making and preserve their hard earned money. He supports clients in their desire to organize their business. An emphasis is placed on taxes, small business consulting, and process improvement. He is considered an entrepreneur’s most valuable asset.
